Team Wildchild dips our toes into matchmaking with our feature series, Singles in the Wild. Through the question-and-answer format, we aim to highlight the personalities of our interviewees. Prepare to be captivated by the young adults from Singapore’s diverse dating pool, whether you are a hopeful single looking to be relieved of your swiping fatigue or merely a curious reader.

Onto our third single… She is a family-oriented sweetheart who will charm her way into your heart with her ebullient personality and unforgettable laugh(s). But don’t take our word for it — there’s only one way to find out.

What is your Myers Briggs type and what does it say about you?

I just re-did this personality test not too long ago but I thought that my latest results did not really describe me. So I’m just going to refer to my results from eons ago because I relate to them more. I’m an ENFP (Campaigner) and I resonate with how ENFPs are free-spirited, yet long for deep connections; friendly and outgoing on the exterior; internally, they cannot help but ponder about life.

I would like to say that I am quite friendly and approachable. I can make the first move to talk to strangers (if they don’t look too scary). I love hanging out with friends and appreciate listening to others talk about their lives. Having said that, I am not exactly an extrovert but I can be sociable when the situation calls for it. Although I’m happy-go-lucky, there is a part of me that always wonders if there is more to life. I guess we all do that sometimes but I do find myself reflecting on life quite often, so it’s interesting how the MBTI pointed that out.

Feel free to tell me about your MBTI because I’m always curious and I feel it does give a little insight into what someone is like. I’m just intrigued by personality tests as they are fun and some parts can be quite accurate though, of course, others may not be.

How would your friends describe you?

One friend said, “Someone who is proud that her birthday is six days away from Lee Hsien Loong and whose laugh literally sounds like hur hur hur hur.”

I was at a gathering with my friends and we somehow Googled PM Lee’s birthday. That was when I found out that our birthdays are six days apart!! Casually fangirled a bit because isn’t that cool?! Also, my friends have always laughed at my unique laughter, which I don’t get. I have different kinds of laughs though… like hehe, hur hur hur, and HAHAHA. P.S. My grandma says I laugh a lot.

My nickname among my old friends used to be “blur sotong”. I don’t think I am as blur now but yup, that was how they would describe me. Probably also because I seem lost when I’m wearing a poker face. However, I really am not as blur anymore.

What is a dream that you’ve never shared out loud?

It is not really a big dream, just a wholesome wish of mine. And it’s something that a lot of people are already doing. I want to earn enough to bring my parents and grandparents on an all-expenses-paid holiday. It would be nice if we can all go with our significant others too. Now that I am considering this, traveling and exploring the world with my significant other is another dream of mine. And I would love uncommon locations and activities, like camping in a desert in Mongolia.

What’s your toxic trait?

I actually don’t know what is my toxic trait in a relationship because I haven’t been in one. But my greatest flaw is probably being late. I am not the most disciplined and would sometimes get out of bed late. But can I just say, I have improved — I am a work in progress! I am pretty on time for some things now but still late for others. The good thing is that I am also very forgiving when people are late because I can totally relate.

What do you like most about yourself?

I like that I am bubbly and in general, a positive person who takes things in my stride. I never really dwell on bad situations and always get out of my funks quickly. I also like that I dare to speak out more than before. Right now, I am trying to find a balance between being straightforward and tactful.

Who and what are you looking for?

My type is a family guy; he is somewhat close to his family and can get along with mine. Also, he has to be adventurous and willing to try new things. Staying at home together is fine at times but I would like to go out on dates, explore new food places, go hiking at a new location, try out trending activities, etc. I would like my partner to be easy-going, chill (but not too laid-back), and financially stable.

Last but not least, I’m looking for a Christian because God is a big part of my life. My partner doesn’t have to be super holy but it would make things a lot easier if we are on the same page in terms of our religion — alongside our humor and frequency, of course!
