Yes, Mid-Autumn Festival lands on 5 October this year, but it’s really never too early to start thinking about which mooncakes to indulge in. If you’re looking to treat yourself or impress loved ones this season, might we suggest Cédric Grolet’s Singapore-exclusive collection? The French pâtisserie gives the traditional treat a modern makeover by mixing in its signature fruits and florals. The result is four baked delights and five delicate chocolate-shell creations that are almost too beautiful to eat—almost.
Baked Mooncakes
“Our new baked mooncakes represent a meeting of two worlds,” says executive chef Diego Jesus Alonso. “We use nougatine to evoke French flavours and lotus paste to honor Chinese heritage. The nougatine lends texture and balance, while the paste preserves the classic character of these festive confections.”

Vanilla & Pecan
Layered with toasted pecan and containing a crisp vanilla note, this flavor is an homage to Grolet’s much-loved “Vanilla Flower” pastry.
Pumpkin Seed
This ingredient adds a subtle nuttiness common to both French pastries and classic Chinese treats.

Peanut
Expect earthy flavors balanced with gentle sweetness—and a satisfying crunch.
Chocolate & Orange
This is Grolet’s favourite flavor pairing. It is elevated with cocoa and candied orange azuki paste, then finished with bittersweet Grué de Cacao nougatine for added depth.

These baked mooncakes are available in a set of four, priced at $98 for orders placed from 8 to 22 July, and $108 thereafter.
Signature Mooncakes
The standout feature of Grolet’s signature mooncakes is their delicate, thin chocolate shell. All of the flavors, which debuted last season, have proven so popular they’re returning this year.

Raspberry
Tangy raspberry, sweet vanilla, and buttery shortbread create a perfectly balanced, aromatic profile.
Pistachio
The earthy-sweet essence of pistachio reveals itself in four delightful textures: ganache, gel, sponge, and crisp.

Pecan & Vanilla
Toasted pecan and smooth vanilla come together in layers of crumbly biscuit.
Coconut
This mooncake is smooth and creamy with a subtle nutty finish. Thanks to its white chocolate shell, it also bears an uncanny resemblance to a tutu kueh.

Peanut & Banana
Enjoy a harmonious blend of sweet and salty flavors, complemented by a delightful crunch.
These signature mooncakes are available in a set of two, priced at $48 for orders placed between 8 and 22 July, and $52 thereafter. You can also mix and match the flavours to your liking!

Pre-orders start on 8 July, and you can pick up your goodies at Cédric Grolet Singapore anytime between 10 September and 6 October.
